Two fine ass black men on a mission to up hold the ideals of fierceness and hotness from the streets of Jacksonville to the cities of the world. And if you are fierce you will be celebrated as you deserved, but beware if you look, act, smell, or sound like a hot mess, you will be ASSASSINATED!(Verbally, not fo realz!)

Why was we out of the loop?: Jacksonville Black Gay Pride!

Even though we didn't report it here, I knew that The Jacksonville Gay Pride Event was canceled to the shock and disappointment of me and Skittles. But how did we missed Black Gay Pride. I never knew something like this happens in the Ville. I mean go to any Gay spot in the Ville and me and Skittles seem to represent the chocolate. I always wondered where the fierce Back queens hanged other than InCahoots on the weekend (I don't know if that's still the case). I watch Noah's Arc and Ski Trip and wonder where my colorful bruthas and sistas hang. Where to find out what we missed last weekend, check out the FTU or the Official Site. Read more!

RIP: Worman's Bakery & Deli

A Jacksonville icon since 1938, Worman's will be no more on August 8. The owners say that they can't wait anymore for the new courthouse to be built next door. I have never eaten there before, but heard countless people rave about this place, especially my mom. I sometimes pass it and cars will be wrapped around the corner and made me want to see what I was missing. Check out the full story here at the FTU. But what I don't understand is why now? I know the courthouse has taken a decade to start, but they were making money and dealing with it. But now that they are actually building it and it will be finished in a year or two, now they want to close?! Maybe it's stunts and shows, cause they planned to close years ago and their customer's stopped them. Maybe they just need some love. Me and Skittles will have to hit it up just in case. Read more!

Something Cool in Hot Springfield: City Kidz Ice Cream!

Finally something new is popping up in my hood of Springfield. I am still counting down when Uptown Market finally opens, but I am happy City Kidz is open. Unfortunately me and Skittles missed the opening because we were at our favorite Chinese Buffet on San Jose on the other side of town. But just know, we will be hitting the spot soon and will provide a full review. Check out the partially done, but still informative website here. Read more!

Fcukary of the Year: Father Leaves Kids in Car with Drugs!

I came home worn out from a night of work and turned on the TV to see this fcukary on Channel 4 News. "Tanelius Pennington left a toddler and a 6-month-old in the car while he went shopping at a Winn Dixie on the Southside in the middle of the day.Other shoppers noticed the children, became concerned for their welfare and flagged down officers.Police said during their investigation, marijuana, cocaine and pills were all found in the car within arms reach of the children. That's because, according to police, Pennington was selling drugs from the car." What the hell? But to make it worst, when police arrived, he took off leaving the kids and now on the run. But it doesn't end there, he took to time to call two friends and the mother to call in a false stolen car report to make it look like he wasn't with the kids. Now her ass and friends are in jail and the poor kids are in Children Services. Situations like this make me soo pissed because If me and Skittles wanted to have children, the state won't allow it, but this bitches can have kids and fcuk it up! red the whole story after the break.Read the whole fcukary at News 4 Jax.

Why I Love The Ville!: Faith Jewelers!

Jacksonville Jeweler "Faith Jewelers", gave away 900 pieces of diamond and pearl jewelry to anyone who lost their job or home for Mother's Day. They know people were struggling and decided that on Thursday & Friday to give away 200 $100 pieces of jewelry to give them hope and show they care. Well when the amount of people exceeded 200, they called suppliers and provided more jewelry to help all who came. They helped bring hope to 900 people with strings attached. All you needed to do is bring proof of your foreclosure or unemployment with a ID. It is soo crazy to me that a small local jewelry store gives $90,000 away with no plan of getting it back or no loops and restrictions, but a mutli-billion dollar global fast food chain can't give away $2.99 meals right. Maybe because Faith Jewelers did something from the heart and out of pure caring and KFC for backfired greed. President Obama said we as a Nation needed to pull our boot straps up to make it through this economy and apparently some have more boots than others, but don't mind giving then away! Destination Downtown = Destination Fun!

Okay, me and Skittles has seen and heard of this weekly event, but since I work nights, never had the chance to check it out. If you don't know what I am talking about, here is a video on the launch explaining about it: So since I was off this Friday for Good Friday and a good friend of ours was in town, I deceide to show off the town and give Skittles an early Bday party. Well here is the T, one DO NOT TEXT for the password unless you want to get into Twisted Martini (which was soo not hot, as explained after the jump!) or want hundreds of random junk texts sent to you even after you request them to stop. Also even though parking in the special garage is a dollar, being use to downtown, I found free parking right all round Bay Street. Now the main De gaga, The clubs, broken down after the jump. Let me rank them from the booty to the bootylicious:
The Bootleg Club: Twisted Martini

First of all the courtyard of the Landing was popping with Patti Labelle Jr. belting out on stage, I almost forgot why we walked all the way from the hot clubs to here. Before we got to Twisted Martini, all the other clubs didn't give a damn about passwords or texts and just let you in with ID, so we were shocked when Twisted Martini was taking money for covers. So with the cell filled with texts, I thought I had no problem, but they wanted each person in my party (2) to have it on their cell too (which was not mentioned on any part of the website). I was like hell naw, because it was not bumping when we arrived around midnight, plus it was soo packed. I was not about to let my friends or me pay to feel like a sardine jamming to Billboards bottom 500 hits. Twisted Martini's thought they had me twisted.

The Snobby, but damn I want to go club: Mark's

At first glance, Mark's didn't match the hype I heard about it, but after coming back and deciding to go in, it looked pretty hot. I knew about their strict dress code and even though me and my crew keep right and tight, I still called them to verify the dress code and knew we were good. Well before we could even pull out our IDs, the bouncer said Skittles' jeans were too baggy. Okay, trust, If Skittles jeans were any tighter he would be wearing denim paint. Plus my pants were looser, but there was no issue with me, so we wasn't going to leave Skittles so we passed. But even after what seemed trifling, we all still kind of wanted to check it out. Next time skittles will go in a tux and make them gag.

The not my style that night club: Mavericks

Don't get me wrong, I love me some country too (I do live in The Ville) but we wanted to shake somethings and break somethings and Mavericks wasn't the place that night.

The need to find out what the hell is going on club: TSI

Did go because it wasn't apart of the event, but as we traveled down Bay Street, we couldn't help notice the wild and crazy crowd outside TSI. Will have to go one night and find out.

The perfect chill spot: Dive Bar

Even though the music didn't move us like we wanted, after walking around downtown, it was the perfect place to chill and soak up some atmosphere. The furniture and decor was fierce, in fact we decided that we will have to have a room in the house like it. It will soo be our pre club spot and the people watching (women shaking it up in a wheelchair on the dance floor!) was prime.

The Hotter than Hot club: The Ivy

We have found our new spot. I didn't know what to think of the Ivy at first, it seemed like a simple club with busy bar and alot of unused space. So we got some drinks chilled and left to check out the other clubs. But when we came back the jams were pumping, The DJ was playing all the hot old skool joints and had us dropping it like it was on firyah. The staff was friendly and the bouncer was nice and cute as well as helpful. The crowd was just like I like them, diverse, sexy, and know how to break it down on the dance floor. The drinks were done right and tight and after a few we were electric sliding, grinding, and popping it til close. I haven't had that much fun since my first night at the Pearl. My only con was the AC had to be found, but once found, it was the spot after all the dancing. So if it's Friday and you're Downtown, find us at the Ivy.

Wish I Was There: Riverside Arts Market!

Okay me and Skittles usually makes it to the hotness in The Ville and The Riverside Arts Market was right up our alley. Well the day was planned out, me and Skittles, on our kick to lose some weight before his Bday, planned on walking the Riverwalk from the Landing to the market. Well what had happen was, we got to the Landing and walked the Riverwalk, but by the time we got to the Market, they were cleaning up. So no Arts for us, but we will go one Saturday and see what the buzz is, since it's the only thing every Ville blog is talking about! So this Saturday make a trip to the Riverside and check it out, and maybe me and Skittles will finally get there to in time. Check out more info after the jump. Check it out here!

Hell to da Naw: Church vs. Blog!

This is soo trifling! First Baptist "Owns most of Downtown and the City" Church got upset over a blog putting it's bizness out in the open, so they got a subpoena from JSO to find out the name and information of the once anonymous blogger. Not only did they get Google to release the info, but they exposed the guy during Sunday Services! Ain't Sunday Service suppose to be praising the Lord and not flipping peoples' wigs on the pews!! To my fellow blogger and Da Villian, keep strong, because apparently you were telling the truth to get the all hot and bothered like that. Hell I always felt strange about FBC and this confirmed my suspicions. Why they couldn't pull a Beyonce and have their Father send a letter with a hint of their Momma's root powder asking them to stop their hate! Plus no wonder Da Ville crime is out of hand, JSO is too busy to stop murders cause their surfing the web for blogs talking about churches! All I got to say is let FBC try Fierocia, cause we will get loud like coins in a metal offering plate. Read the full article here.

About Damn Time: Hall of Famer Bob Hayes!

After 29 years and a failed attempt during Super Bowl XXIX here in his hometown of The Ville, Bob "Bullet" Hayes is now Pro Football Hall of Famer. For those who know him, he was an Olympic gold medalist in track and played for the Dallas Cowboys. His speed caused NFL defenses to step their game up to zone defense. He is the only man to have both an Olympic gold medal and a super Bowl ring. But to me he deserve it because of hi service to the Jacksonville community with his Bob Hayes Invitational. For 39 years schools from around the southeast come to compete in track and field competition and a highlight for The Ville and all those talented enough to compete. Bob Hayes died in 2002, but his spirit lives in the countless students in the track and lightening fast wide receivers on the field. Here is the TU(Times Union) Story on the vote:
Twenty-nine years after he first became eligible, Jacksonville native Bob Hayes was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame Saturday.

Hayes was nominated for the second time in five years by the senior committee and he needed at least 36 of the 44 board members to vote in his favor.

The exact number of votes he got was not announced.

The case for Hayes was that he changed the game with his speed that forced defenses to change to zone defenses.

But he was rejected just five years ago, the first time he was a finalist. The fact he had only 371 catches and didn’t have a signature game in the championship games he played in were hurdles he had to overcome.

Hayes is the only man to win an Olympic gold medal and a Super Bowl ring.

He died in 2002.

Joining Hayes in the Hall will be Bruce Smith, Rod Woodson, Randall McDaniel, Derrick Thomas and Buffalo Bills founder and owner Ralph Wilson.

Trying to Stay Warm and Cozy!

For all those outside California, it's cold as hell this week and today of all days, Saturday, it wants to be the coldest. I had to go out at 8am and I had 3 layers of clothes and I am still freezing. So to help with the chill, do like this hilarious photo of Vern Troyer dressed like a cuddly bear on the UK's Big Brother, which is making my day, just cuddle up with something cute and get warm. Also check out who was in town escaping the cold in New York!. His cute rich(He makes $300 an hour in tips in Times Square. You better work Bitch!) ass brings up something else(Not that ya nasty!) about the cold here. To all our Northern visitors and my Northern Co-Workers, please note: Just because your ass is use to shoveling ten feet of snow or negative 100 degree weather, doesn't give you the right to make comments like us Southerners need to stop crying about the cold! Bitch cold is cold and when you are use to 100 degree sun's ass farting fire on you. Anything that requires a jacket is too much and we have all the right in the world to complain and stay inside. If the cold is so nothing, your ass wouldn't be down here enjoying the warmth and somewhere buried in snow. Plus you don't hear us talking about you when you passing out in 90 degree weather. So stay warm today and just think about summer and shorts and sandals are not far away!

Where U At?: Quiznos of San Marco!

I might be late or break news, but what happened to the Quiznos in San Marco? That was my quick bit spot. I know there are Quiznos I visit in Riverside and University and was told one in FCCJ Downtown. But when I am near Skittles place(which is everyday) and I needed that right before work toasty sub, that Quiznos was the spot. The owners were nice and nothing beats the food. Well it came as a shock when Me and Skittles last week was going to satisfy our before work sub craving and got there and the doors were locked and a for sale sign was posted on the building. But all the signs and the stuff are still there as if it's still open. What happened? Did the owners just up and left? Were they not making money? Did enough stupid people who couldn't read and try to enter through the exit(even though it is my only complaint, who designed that type of entrance and exit?) cause too many accidents? If I had the paper I would soo take it over. Me and Skittles were forced to go of all places, Subway(which I haven't been since my middles school days) and I am no even going to honor that hot ass mess on this post! If you know something, please post a comment! Check out one of my favorite and creepy Quiznos ad after the jump. Read more!

Tebow Me!

This is for Skittles, who despite all the press and hype of The Ville's very own Gator Superman, have not heard of Tim Tebow. This Heisman and BCC Champion hottie Quarterback has been the wet dream of ever UF fan and local sportscaster since he came on the scene 2 years ago. Now with the announcement he is not going pro and staying at UF for another year, we can only hope to see more of his talent(and I am not talking about football)! Check an early yet hot video on Tebow that gives you a little more detail on his talent and a little more of his shirtless body.

The Ville's New Old School!

As you may or not know (Read the story here) FCCJ, Florida Community College of Jacksonville (Fat Chance of Catching a Job as Skittles name it!), is dropping the Community and becoming a four year college. They are spending $50,000 to find a new name. In this economy, that is a lot of money for something not that deep, its not like they put a lot of thought into FCCJ and I know it didn't cost $50,000. Here are some of my submissions:
Jacksonville State College - I know there is a Jacksonville state University, but at least this one will be representing the cool Ville and would look hot on jerserys.
Duval College - even though you know it will be called Duuuuuuuval College by the ghetto crew, it will still be cool to say you go to the DC!
Isaiah Hart College - For those who don't know he was the guy who founding Jacksonville and all we got named after him is Harts Bridge. Plus imagine all the bootleg slogans like "The School With Hart!"
St. Johns College - Sounds professional and classic enough to not feel shamed when telling people you go there.
First Coast College - Where you come First!
Fierocia College - Cause it will be a hot fierce tranny mess!
Now all is that is left is a mascot and colors. I am thinking a rainbow colored drag queen crack head! Where is my $50,000!!!

That's Why I Don't Fcuk with Pussy at Night!

Oh Lord of Mercy!!!! Me and Skittles had a night tonight. We were coming home after getting an after work meal from the University Whataburger (by the way nothing beats their A-1 Thick and Hearty Burger!!) and I was driving down Spring Park cracking up with Skittles when all of a sudden Skittles freaked out! I look down the dark ass road and saw a cat run in front of the car and literally like a minute later there was two huge bumps. I sworn I ran over a person and lucky I kept control, even though I had to piss like a horse and wasn't helping by drinking a bucket cup of ice tea. I know I had a dead cat either stick somewhere under the car or on the road, but as soon as I looked back, I saw that bitch racing across the street like nothing happened. Me and Skittles were like either that was one lucky ass cat or some ghost of a cat or unknown super creature. I am not a cat person at all, but if you live on Spring Park and know of a grey cat, let me know cause that cat is fierocia!

Serious Skittles Face: Attempted Break In!

I just saw this on Jacksonville Confidential and I had to comment. This guy tried to break in the downtown Hemming Plaza Jewelers with a rock! Okay I know the economy is bad, but it is no excuse for trifflingness (yes I made that word up)! You're next the City Hall, so you know theres got to be at least one camera on you're ass or a cop waiting in the wings. I am just glad for three things, 1: He failed!, 2: They got a clear full color HD view of him to find, and 3: Like my family would say in this situation "Thank God he's white"!

Night at the Casbah!

So tonight me and Skittles enjoyed a great night out with friends at The Casbah. Well at first I didn't go, because I was just getting off work at 10pm (I know I work late!!!) and I was drained. But a good friend of ours best friend was visiting from out of town and she never had a hookah and would be leaving tomorrow. So I had to introduce her to me and Skittles spot! We usually go on Sunday's because the crowd isn't a large and if you are familiar with the Casbah, you know it can get packed. Little did we know that Monday nigh was a packed night too, but we got a table and Skittles and I tore up some stuffed grape leaves(I ate those, Skittles weren't feeling them to much), chicken salad, and fries (which in our opinion is fried crack!). We ordered a grape(so black!) and pineapple hookah, since we had so many of the others to try something new. Note to those out there, grape was the ish and pineapple was okay at first, but near the end was tight. Also, do not try both at the same time like me, cause the two do not play well together. Anyway, the finest was on lock tonight, and eye candy was at every turn! Plus who would make an appearance but our favorite FCN hottie Victor Blackwell. I swear he is stalking us, but he can stalk us any day, in fact Victor if you read this, don't be scared to say hello, we don't bite(unless you like that!!)! The night was great and there was so many hilarious moments from people trying us with the heaters to stores possibly missing Christmas tree ornaments(I'm just saying...LOL!). If you never been to the Casbah, what is your problem?! Go, but not on Sunday, that's our day!
