Fierocia of Music: It's Britney Bitch!

Okay you all know my stance on Britney's new album, but this video shows she is back for realz. I can't turn on a TV or go online without seeing her, but for positive news and looking great. Even though she is doing recycled Janet moves in the video, at least she is doing moves and not just standing around looking chub rockish (will explain in a future post!) like the past few videos. Let the new shiny and hopefully with shoes era of Britney begin and maybe Madonna old ass can sit down!

Genre: R&B, Tribal, and Electronic Beats
Skittles Speaks: Kanye indeed decides to take us again in a new direction with this one. Just as the title is named, that’s what you’re getting in abundance (big beats and love songs). Is it the right sound for him? Were the snippets I heard good? I answer No and No in my opinion but maybe it needs to grow on me. I’ll try to endure but I don’t see it getting to “Graduation” status. You lose!

Name: Beyonce / Sasha Fierce
Album: I Am Beyonce - I Am Saha Fierce
Date: Nov 18th
Genre: R&B with some Alternative vibes and some Electronic Crunk Beats
Skittles Speaks: This double “alter ego” disc CD is looking and feeling very different for some “regular ego” folk! After hearing snippets of all the song, both sides have some explaining to do! Beyonce’ side maybe a little to love dovey and slow and Sasha’ side maybe a little to FIERCE and ghetto for me to handle. But because it’s yo girl B, it will still be a hit album. Put a ring on that!

Genre: Vocal Pop with little Rock and R&B influence
Skittles Speaks: I have only heard and seen his first video for "Crush" and it is pretty good song to step out into the world with. He may have a soft talking voice but his singing voice is huge (can we say biting Janet's style). I could see this album beating the season winner David Cook in sales. He is also kind of cute! Wait, is he 18 yet????

Skittles Speaks: She is back after her "as usual" 4 year hiatus between albums. I really feel she is in a better place so this album should be better than Aphrodisiac was. Heard the single "Right Here" and some leaks and they sound like it will be a "listen to after a long day" CD. Glad to see there's no Monica around to hate!

Genre: Vocal Pop with little Rock and R&B influence
Skittles Speaks: Britney definitely knows how to appeal to her listening audience and there won’t be any exception here. At first I assumed she could not get any better than her “under promoted, emotionally free, but flawless” Blackout album but after hearing “Womanizer”, I can see she won’t let this one be in vain. Lookout wannabe pop princesses cuz the Circus is coming to town!

It's Britney Bitch!!

As Skittles said, we're back bitches and apparently so is Britney. I will let the the obvious rip off of Janet's "Son of a Gun" video go, because it is great she is finally putting some effort in video again and bring her signature ture (copycating of Miss Jackson) dance moves back. Even though I thought the video is good, the song is still soso to me. But me and Skittles assumed this album wasn't going to bring the fire of her last effort, because for someone reason when an artist is do the most drama, they make the best album. Amy Winehouse was great with "Frank", but add the crack and jailed boyfriend, she became Grammy worthy. Even Janet's "Velvet Rope" was her best due to the hidden drama in her life coming out. So even through Britney is looking good and doing better, don't except the same fire as the crazy as hell Britney!*

*Side Note: We are not in any way saying Britney needs to be crazy again or other artist need to get on crack. All we are saying is that when artist hit that low point in their lives, their truest and best works are made and with most artist that album is their turning point and they finally get their life together.

OMG! I just saw the video, and I AM LOVING IT SO MUCH RIGHT NOW!!!! I think that the video makes the song come together and sound better to me! But, I agree that this was a mix of Janet's "Son of a Gun" video and her own "Toxic" video put together. I am really hoping that this Britney is here to stay!
